I was initially unsure how much of a difference weight lifting shoes would make. However, reading ‘Starting Strength’ by Mark Rippetoe, he recommends lifting shoes as one of the best investments you can make. So I thought I would give them a try.
I’m so glad I took the plunge and bought a pair of the Nike Romaleo 4s online. They are built like a tank and feel rock solid for squats and deadlifts.
Reading other reviews that they are narrow and a tight fit, I went up half a size. My feet are fairly neutral; not particularly narrow or wide. The half size up fit like a glove.
I would highly recommend the Nike Romaleo 4s.
