SBD makes the supportive gear most powerlifters compete in: the belt, the knee sleeves, the wrist wraps and the singlet, plus elbow sleeves, straps, socks and training apparel. Everything is designed and made in the UK, and the competition pieces are on the IPF approved list, so anything you buy here is legal on the platform in Australia. This page is the full SBD range we hold in Sydney. Each product type has its own page with sizing and buying advice; the notes below tell you which one to open.
Where to start
If you are buying your first piece of SBD, the order most lifters go in is belt, then knee sleeves, then wrist wraps. The belt makes the biggest difference to your squat and deadlift; the sleeves keep the knees warm and add a little rebound; the wraps hold the wrist neutral on bench. The singlet only matters when you have a meet booked.
The pieces
Belts: 10mm and 13mm lever belts at the maximum 10cm width, with a lever that adjusts without tools. See our belts page for 10mm versus 13mm and how to measure.
Knee sleeves: the 7mm sleeve is the powerlifting standard; the 5mm is for weightlifting and general training. Sizing and the tight-fit question are covered on the knee sleeves page.
Wrist wraps: stiff for bench and competition, flexible for squats and pressing, in 40cm, 60cm and 100cm. See wrist wraps for which to choose and how to wrap.
Elbow sleeves: 7mm neoprene for bench and pressing volume. Sizing uses two measurements; see elbow sleeves.
Singlets: IPF approved competition singlets in men's and women's cuts. See lifting suits.
Lifting straps: Figure 6 and Figure 8 straps in aramid webbing for deadlifts and heavy pulls. See lifting straps.
Socks and apparel: deadlift socks that meet the IPF shin-cover rule, trainer socks, t-shirts, hoodies and beanies.
Colourways
The classic SBD colourway is black with red. Several times a year SBD releases a limited range (Nova, Resolve, Serenity, Forge and others) in a different colour, across belts, sleeves, wraps and apparel. When a limited-range item is on this page in your size it is in stock now; once a range sells through it is not restocked, so if you want matching gear, buy the set together.
Common questions
Is SBD gear IPF approved? The belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, singlets, knee wraps and deadlift socks are on the IPF approved equipment list. Training apparel such as t-shirts and hoodies does not need approval.
How do I know my size? Every product page has the SBD size chart and a note on how to measure. If you are between sizes, send us your measurement and we will confirm, or come in store to be measured.
Can I try before I buy? Yes. The full range is on the floor at our Sydney store, and you can try belts, sleeves and wraps on before you decide.
Every item ships from our Sydney warehouse.
