What does your competition day look like (Do you have a pre-comp ritual or superstitions)?
No superstitions. I treat my comp day the same as I treat training. Same mentality. Headphones in and lots of caffeine.
What is the most important mental aspect of your training and competing?
Is not taking it too seriously. I want to do well and do the best I can but being more relaxed allows me to perform better. The only real failure is to not have a crack at all.
Who are your role models and why?
Bryce Krawczyk and Bryce Lewis
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start in the sport?
Don’t get emotionally attached to numbers. Be consistent and do the work and you will get better.
What are your plans and goals for the future in your sport and generally?
Go down to under 100s for my next comp. I have not competed at that weight and would be a good challenge.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the gym/sport?
Watching footy. Going to the beach in summer. Travelling
